Gets Guys Clean Naturally: Burt's Bees Natural Skin Care for Men Body Wash
Burt's Bees Natural Skin Care for Men Body Wash Ingredients List
Overall Rating: ★★★★★
Price: $ (under $10) – Available at Burt’s Bees and Drugstore.com.
Scent: Woodsy & citrusy blend of bergamot, lemon, sweet orange, patchouli, and fir.
I like: that the product is all natural. The scent is masculine without being overpowering. It cleans without leaving your skin feeling dry.
Not a fan of: nothing. Just don’t expect a lot of lather.
Burt’s Bees Natural Skin Care for Men Body Wash is a wonderful smelling all-natural shower gel that doesn’t over-dry your skin. The scent is a fresh and woodsy blend of bergamot, lemon, sweet orange, patchouli, and fir. Because the body wash is all-natural, it doesn’t produce a lot of suds – which makes the product ideal for those with dry or sensitive skin. To maximize lathering, I suggest using a shower sponge. Otherwise, you’ll end up using a lot of product in a short amount of time. At under ten dollars, this Burt’s Bees body wash is definitely worth trying.

Anthony Logistics for Men Oil Free Facial Lotion SPF 15
Anthony Logistics for Men Oil Free Facial Lotion SPF 15 Ingredients List
Overall Rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $$$$ ($30-$40) – Available at Anthony Logistics for Men, Sephora, and Nordstrom.
Scent: Subtle citrus.
I Like: the light texture, refreshing scent, and sun protection.
Not a fan of: the paraben preservatives.
Just because the weather is cooler doesn’t mean the sun’s UV rays aren’t as strong. It’s imperative that we apply a moisturizer with sun protection if we go out during the day. Anthony Logistics for Men’s Oil Free Facial Lotion SPF 15 is a great product for those with normal/combination to oily skin to use in such situations. Though the product claims to be fragrance free, I detected a slight citrus fragrance – it’s quite nice actually. It has a light texture. The lotion does a fine job at moisturizing and providing sun protection without leaving behind a heavy greasy film. If you have extremely oily skin, however, don’t expect this moisturizer to solve your shiny face issues.
Overall Rating: ★★★★★
Price: $$$ ($30) – Available at Nordstrom, Amazon, and L’Occitane.
Scent: Woodsy blend of juniper, sandalwood, and birch.
I Liked: how well this product worked as a moisturizer. The balm effectively soothed my skin and provided relief from razor burn.
Not a fan of: the potency of the scent. I would like this product even more if the scent was less obvious.
L’Occitane’s Cade After Shave Balm is more like a face cream. Its texture is very thick, which makes it better suited as a fall/winter moisturizer. At $30 for a 2.5 ounce tube, this balm is relatively expensive. However, a little of it goes a long way. You should be able to get at least four months of use out of one tube. I enjoyed the scent despite how strong it was. The fragrance is a blend of juniper, sandalwood, and birch with a hint of baby powder – it sounds like an odd combination but those scents somehow work well together. Try it if you have dry skin or constantly suffer from razor burn.

Zirh Erase Aftershave Relief Tonic Ingredients List
Overall Rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $$$$ ($30-$40) – Available at Zirh, Beauty.com, Beautybar.com, and Amazon.
Scent: Subtle classic barbershop aftershave smell with a hint of citrus mixed in.
I Like: how the tonic soothes razor burn. Made from witch hazel, not alcohol. Pleasant masculine fragrance.
Not a fan of: the price. I’m accustomed to paying more for moisturizers, not toners.
Zirh’s Erase Aftershave Relief Tonic is one the few post-shave splashes I can recommend as it does not contain alcohol. The calendula and chamomile ingredients are effective at soothing razor burn. I’m not so sure about how well Zirh Erase works to treat razor bumps and ingrown hair. It comes in a masculine-looking bottle – the dispenser has a small hole, which allows you to use the tonic sparingly. One bottle should last you about 3-4 months with normal use. This product does not moisturize so you’ll need to complement it with a face lotion.
Buy this product while you still can. The Zirh brand is going away soon 😦
