Alba Botanica Hawaiian Body Wash Passion Fruit Review Ingredients

Alba Botanica Hawaiian Body Wash Passion Fruit Ingredients

Overall Rating: ★★★★
Price: $$ ($10-$20) – Available at Vitacost.com and iHerb.com.
Scent: Tropical passion fruit
I Like: the light texture of the body wash. Effectively cleans. Cruelty free.
Not a fan of: the synthetic fragrance ingredients.

Alba Botanica’s Hawaiian Passion Fruit Body Wash effectively cleans without leaving your skin overly dry. The body cleanser has a relatively intense tropical fragrance – something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to strong scents. However, the smell doesn’t linger after washing. This product does not produce a lot of lather, but it does leave you feeling island fresh. Alba Botanica’s Hawaiian Passion Fruit Body Wash is certainly worth trying if you’re seeking a reasonably priced tropical-scented body wash.

Scent: Subtle lavender.
I like: the large size, relaxing scent, value, natural ingredients.
Not a fan of: nothing.

We absolutely enjoy using Kiss My Face products and this huge, naturally scented block of soap is no exception.  Reasonably priced at three to four dollars, the Kiss My Face Olive & Lavender Bar Soap lasts approximately one month with regular bath or shower use.  The soap mildly cleanses without over-drying the skin, while the subtle lavender scent temporarily transports you to the South of France.  We recommend this bar for body cleansing as it could dry the face.  Smart, value-minded skin care enthusiasts will appreciate this lovely soap!

Overall Rating: ★★★★
Price: $ (under $10) – Available at Burt’s Bees and Drugstore.com.
Scent: Woodsy & citrusy blend of bergamot, lemon, sweet orange, patchouli, and fir.
I like: that the product is all natural. The scent is masculine without being overpowering.  It cleans without leaving your skin feeling dry.
Not a fan of: nothing.  Just don’t expect a lot of lather.

Burt’s Bees Natural Skin Care for Men Body Wash is a wonderful smelling all-natural shower gel that doesn’t over-dry your skin.  The scent is a fresh and woodsy blend of bergamot, lemon, sweet orange, patchouli, and fir.  Because the body wash is all-natural, it doesn’t produce a lot of suds – which makes the product ideal for those with dry or sensitive skin.  To maximize lathering, I suggest using a shower sponge.   Otherwise, you’ll end up using a lot of product in a short amount of time.  At under ten dollars, this Burt’s Bees body wash is definitely worth trying.

Soap Deluxe's "Sporty Outgoing" Bar Soap Ingredients List

As someone who is developing a business, I appreciate other emerging business owners who focus on being environmentally-responsible.  One such company is Soap Deluxe, a maker of  natural, cruelty-free handmade soaps based in the United Kingdom.  I met Soap Deluxe’s founder, Philip Woolley, by chance through YouTube.  Philip contacted me one day about one of my videos, “Bar Soap vs. Face or Body Wash – Which One is Better?”  In this video, I tout the advantages of using liquid body washes without really considering the benefits of bar soaps.  With Phillip’s help, I now realize I was generalizing when I spoke about both body washes and bar soaps in the video.  Not all body washes and bar soaps are made the same.  Many commercially-made big brand liquid cleansers and bar soaps contain chemicals that can over-dry and irritate your skin.  What I should have said in the video was pay close attention to the ingredients of the body washes and bar soaps you purchase.  Stick to products with more natural ingredients whenever possible.  Your skin will benefit from it.

Pictured above is Soap Deluxe’s Green bar soap, characterized as “outgoing sporty.”   The scent is a refreshing blend of basil, rosemary, ginger and fennel.  Ideal for use in the morning or after a workout.

Overall Rating: ★★★

Price: $ ($10) – Available at C.O. Bigelow.
Scent: Potent blend of spice, red currant, fig, and sandalwood.
I Like: the versatility of the product – made for hair and body.
Not a fan of: the strong fragrance, sulfate ingredients, and paraben preservatives.

The C.O. Bigelow Barber Elixir Red No. 1608 Hair & Body Wash is ideal for use post-workout or pre-dinner date.  Its strong scent ensures any trace of body odor is, at the very least, masked.  Trust me, you won’t need to apply cologne after using this cleanser.  Don’t use this product on your face – the potent fragrance and sulfate ingredients could potentially over-dry the skin and cause breakouts.  Those who enjoy strongly scented masculine products may want to give this hair and body wash a try.

Kiehls Cross-Terrain All-In-One Refueling Wash Product Review Caulfields Counter Body Face Shampoo Men Male Skincare Mens Grooming

Kiehl’s Cross-Terrain All-In-One Refueling Wash

Overall Rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $$ ($10-$20) – Available at Kiehl’s, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale’s.
Scent: Somewhat woodsy with a hint of pear.  Menthol provides a tingling sensation.
I liked: how refreshing it felt in the shower.  This all-one-cleanser is free of parabens and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.  Guys will find this product convenient – it really is gentle enough to use all over your body.
I didn’t like: the scent at first.  The fragrance was quite strong when I smelled it out of the tube.  However, I grew to like the scent after a couple of uses.

Here it is, guys.  An all-in-one cleanser I can finally advocate using.  Unlike a number of other all-in-one washes for the body, face, and hair, Kiehl’s Cross-Terrain ‘All-in-One’ Refueling Wash effectively cleans you from head to toe and wakes up the senses with a crisp, clean scent – all without the use of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and parabens.  The scent was a bit strong at first (note: I sniffed it directly from the tube).  However, when I used it in the shower, the fragrance was more balanced and pleasant.  Menthol and citrus oils help energize while aloe vera and vitamin E help soothe and keep the skin from over-drying.  If you need an all-in-one wash for the gym, consider this gentle yet effective option.
