I like: that this product is completely all natural. Love its versatility – consolidates many grooming elements into one simple product. Can be used it as a shave oil and after shave moisturizer. Invigorating natural mint scent.
Not a fan of: nothing.
Many guys don’t like to spend the time to shop for skin care. Even I sometimes get exhausted just trying to figure out what grooming products to try next. Beta Naturals All-In-One Clean Shave Oil + Moisturizer was developed to help men simplify their shaving routines. It’s basically a shaving oil and an aftershave balm/moisturizer in one convenient all-natural product. It provides a nice glide for your razor while you shave and helps your skin recover post-shave. The Clean Shave Oil + Moisturizer has a very light consistency and absorbs well into the skin. It won’t clog pores or razors. Oils of argan, jojoba, and grapeseed nourish and soothe while peppermint and rosemary refresh and cool. Lavender (sensitive skin) and Earl Grey (all skin types) options are also available. If you want to streamline your grooming routine while minimizing bumps and razor burn, try Beta Naturals All-In-One Clean Shave Oil + Moisturizer. It could change the way you shave.

Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15

Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 Ingredients List
Overall Rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $$ ($10-$20) – Available at Walgreens, Target, and Drugstore.com.
Scent: none
I Like: how well the unscented moisturizer works on dry skin. Also provides UVA/UVB sun protection.
Not a fan of: the silicone (cyclomethicone) and plastic (polymethyl methacrylate) based ingredients.
Cetaphil’s Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 was my go-to face moisturizer for a number of years when I first got into skin care. The product is very basic, but effective for those with dry skin. It’s unscented, provides moderate sun protection, and moisturizes quite well. While this moisturizer is lightweight compared to other facial sunscreens I have used, it can leave some shine. I have combination skin and this product worked particularly well on the dry areas. While I didn’t experience breakouts using this moisturizer, I have heard of people with sensitive skin experiencing a slight stinging sensation when using it. If you’re looking for a fragrance-free face moisturizer with UVA/UVB sun protection, Cetaphil’s Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 is worth trying at least once. Who knows – maybe it will be your go-to face lotion for years to come.

Quality at a reasonable price: The Real Shaving Company Sensitive Shaving Gel

The Real Shaving Company Sensitive Shaving Gel Ingredients List
Overall Rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $ (under $10) – Available at The Real Shaving Company and Rite Aid Pharmacy.
Scent: masculine cologne-like fragrance.
I Like: the product’s clarity and thick consistency. Great value.
Not a fan of: the strong scent.
Are you a shaving aficionado on a tight budget? The Real Shaving Company’s Sensitive Shaving Gel is proof that you can get a quality English-made shave product for about five dollars. What I enjoy most about this shave gel is its thickness and clarity. The thickness provides a nice buffer to protect your skin while getting a close shave. The clear gel allows you to see exactly what you’re shaving – ideal for those delicate, hard to reach places near the earlobes and under nose. The aloe in the product helps to alleviate razor burn. The cologne-like scent is quite strong, but I suppose you can’t ask for too much when you’re paying five bucks.

Good for puffy eyes: Zirh Restore Herbal Eye Cream

Zirh Restore Herbal Eye Cream Ingredients List
Overall Rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $$$ ($20-$30) – Available at Zirh and Amazon.
Scent: nothing noticeable.
I Like: how this eye cream reduces puffiness. Feels slightly cool upon application.
Not a fan of: the paraben preservatives.
A good eye cream is hard to find. Many claim to reduce puffy eyes and dark circles, but few actually deliver on that promise. Zirh’s Restore Herbal Eye Cream worked well at minimizing the appearance of my puffy eyes, but I didn’t notice a significant difference in my dark circles. This product contains a number of skin-benefiting ingredients including extracts of cucumber, chamomile, calendula, aloe, and pine bark, as well as caffeine. A one-ounce tube should last at least two months as you only need to apply just a little amount of the eye cream. Use Zirh’s Restore Herbal Eye Cream any time you need to refresh the area around your eyes.

Kiehl’s Amino Acid Conditioner

Kiehl’s Amino Acid Conditioner Ingredients List
Overall Rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $$ ($10-$20) – Available at Kiehl’s and Nordstrom.
Scent: Light coconut.
I Like: the sweet, mellow smell of coconut. Does a great job at making hair feel soft. A little goes a long way.
Not a fan of: the paraben preservatives. Relatively expensive.
Of the many hair conditioners I’ve tried, Kiehl’s Amino Acid Conditioner ranks as one of the better performers when it comes to making hair feel soft. The first thing I notice when using the product is the wonderful light coconut scent. The great smell will motivate any dude to condition his dry, brittle locks. The conditioner’s formula consists of some great nourishing ingredients including oils of jojoba and coconut as well as wheat amino acids. At $19 for an 8.4 ounce bottle, Kiehl’s Amino Acid Conditioner is on the pricier side. However, its price tag is somewhat justified as a little amount goes a long way.

Alba Botanica Natural Very Emollient Sunscreen Fragrance Free Mineral Broad Spectrum SPF 30

Alba Botanica Natural Very Emollient Sunscreen Fragrance Free Mineral Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Ingredients List
Overall Rating: ★★★★★
Price: $ (approximately $10) – Available at Alba Botanica, Vitacost, and Whole Foods Markets.
Scent: Fragrance free.
I like: that this is a mineral sunscreen. Effective in preventing sunburn. Stays on while you swim.
Not a fan of: the very thick consistency – makes it a little harder to apply. May leave a white film on the skin. Great stuff nonetheless.
Alba Botanica’s Natural Very Emollient Mineral Sunblock SPF 30 is a fantastic alternative to the chemical sunscreens that are commonly found in drug stores. Mineral and chemical sunscreens differ in one major way. Mineral sunscreens provide a physical barrier of protection (usually consisting of zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide) between the skin and the sun. They block and deflect the Sun’s harmful rays. Chemical sunscreens, on the other hand, absorb Sun rays. This relatively natural, unscented product works quite well at preventing sunburn as long as you reapply after swimming or excessive sweating. The cream’s texture is thick, making it a little harder to spread, and can leave a white film. That’s the tradeoff of using a mineral sunblock. Nourishing ingredients in this product include grapeseed oil and jojoba oil. Try Alba Botanica’s Natural Very Emollient Mineral Sunblock SPF 30 if you’re thinking about making the switch from chemical sunscreens.
