Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo Review Caulfield's Counter Haircare Hair Dandruff Cooling Men Women

An all-around great shampoo: Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo

Overall Rating: ★★★★
Price: $$ ($10-$20) – Available at Aveda.
Scent: Mint with subtle rosemary.
I Liked: the natural, refreshing scent and mild tingle.  My hair felt clean and my scalp felt energized after using this shampoo. Ideal for use on normal to oily hair.
Not a fan of: nothing. However, those with dry hair may want to explore other options or use this shampoo sparingly – maybe once every few days.

What I enjoyed most about using Aveda’s Rosemary Mint Shampoo were a) the scent and b) the cooling effect it had on my scalp.  The smell is a natural, invigorating blend of… drumroll please… rosemary and peppermint.  The fragrance is evident but not overwhelming – it’s just the right amount.  This shampoo left a pleasant, mild tingling sensation on my scalp.  I highly recommend this product for those of you with shorter hair who enjoy using a thoroughly cleansing shampoo, as it effectively lifts oil.

King Of Shaves Alphagel Shave Gel Sensitive Skin Ingredients List

Overall Rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $ (under $10) – Available at TargetRemington, and King of Shaves Direct.
Scent: Cool blend of tea tree oil, spearmint, and camphor.
I Like: the gel’s cooling effect.  It’s an excellent value.  Not animal tested.  Made in the UK.
Not a fan of: the sodium laureth sulfate.

Not long ago, I was still using shave gel in a can.  I thought the thick foam from canned shave gels and creams made for superior, less-irritating shaves.  I was wrong.  Most canned shaving products contain synthetic ingredients that can actually dry out and irritate sensitive skin.  For those of you with sensitive skin still searching for a reasonably priced shave gel in a tube, may I suggest trying King of Shaves Alphagel Shave Gel.  It contains aloe vera and tea tree oil to help soothe your skin.  The gel’s translucence eliminates the guesswork in shaving – you see exactly where your blade is touching your skin.  The energizing blend of spearmint and camphor cools and helps to wake you up in the morning.  It has a medicinal, but tolerable scent – I actually like it.  Try using this shave gel if you’re on a budget and have sensitive skin.
