Aveda Men After-Shave Balm
I now only have about an ounce left of the rare and precious Aveda Men After-Shave Balm. Aveda mysteriously discontinued this hugely popular item just over a year ago (WHY?!!!) and I’ve rationed its use since. This magical liquid is light, soothing, and versatile – it works well on all skin types. The scent is subtle yet memorable – a delightful blend of lavender, chamomile, and citrus. The balm is particularly effective at treating razor burns and other shaving-related skin irritations. If you’re somehow able to come across this stuff, buy it. At the very least, you can sell it for double on eBay to a nostalgic men’s skincare fanatic like myself. Now if only I can find that original bottle of New West from the 90s…

Have you found any product comparable to Aveda’s?

It’s tough to duplicate the magic of the discontinued Aveda Men After-Shave Balm. While there is no equal per se, there are a number of strong contenders. Bulldog Original After Shave Balm and Dermalogica Post-Shave Balm are just two great products that I can think of off the top of my head. Hope this helps. Thanks for visiting!

I have found several products that are similar to the aVeda green gooo.
kenneth cole after shave gel in a tube is very similar and it’s available at macy’s and fragrance outlet. $4.95-$7.95
the other product is saint james of london founders reserve mandarin and patchouli
aftershave balm. bought some on amazon for $12.95 both products are similar but not quite that special field of the green goo

I still miss this. I think about it every time I shave. It was the perfect aftershave balm for my skin and I have yet to find a decent replacement.
I HAVE FOUND THE SPIRITUAL SUCCESSOR TO THE GLORIOUS AVEDA GREEN GOO WE ALL DESPERATELY MISS.
I’ve wept for my face every time I’ve shaved for the last several years. The Aveda goo was able to magically heal my face even after I’d shaved with a rusty spoon. We’ve all felt loss the since the discontinuation of its manufacture. We’ve all cried ourselves to sleep wondering WHY WHY WHYYYYYY?!!?
Well, just pick up some Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel. I got mine at Sephora, located at my local mall. Though I’m sure one can order it elsewhere.
The second I tried the tester bottle at the store, I knew my long, arduous search was over.
I know you’re out there, googling occasionally, hoping against all hope that someone, somewhere can help… Can get your poor face back to a state of perpetual post-shave comfort.
Now you have it. Go buy some. Buy it all. Hell, I’m stocking up with enough to get me through the rest of my life.
